Hello, I’m Miguel Gómez, founder of Gomez Language Academy.

I’m a certified Spanish and English instructor with over a decade of teaching experience, helping learners of all ages, backgrounds, and corners of the world.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics in TESOL. I also have an International Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) and a Spanish Grammar Certificate for Teachers, both awarded by institutions affiliated with the Instituto Cervantes network. Additionally, I have studied French, which has given me firsthand experience and insight into what it takes to learn a new language — the challenges, the excitement, and the dedication needed to succeed.

Based in Oaxaca, Mexico, I combine my passion for language with local culture, sharing not just grammar but the heart of Spanish-speaking life. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, embracing nature, and connecting with people from diverse ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
